Le rayon blanc

Le Rayon Blanc is a publisher of art books, essays, interviews and poetry. The name comes from Arthur Rimbaud’s poem Les Ponts, published in Les Illuminations in 1873: ‘A white ray, falling from the sky, destroys this comedy’. Ariana Saenz-Espinoza, the publishing house’s editor, compares this ray to a spiritual form that puts an end to the spectacle of reality and opens up a new, as yet unwritten space. The publishing house tackles sensitive themes that are often controversial and reveal certain taboos about eroticism, violence, psychiatry, mysticism, drug addiction and so on. It uses its books as a place of welcome and expression for people on the margins of society.
